John Harton (footballer)

The former Arsenal, West Ham and Celtic star at one point owed more than £300,000 from gambling, whilst also fighting cancer. He entered into an IVA in October 2011 paying 12p in the pound.

Paul Gascoigne (footballer)

The former Newcastle, Tottenham, Lazio, Rangers, Everton and Middlesbrough midfielder was reported to be worth £14m at the peak of his career. However, since quitting football he has battled alcoholism and drug problems.

Neil Morrissey (actor)

Neil Morrissey entered into an individual voluntary arrangement (IVA)in August 2009 owing £2.5million after a property scheme in which he invested collapsed. His finances took a turn for the better in February 2012 when he received an apology and "substantial" damages from the Daily Mail over an article that falsely claimed he was banned from a French bar for "rowdy, drunken" behaviour.

Paul Rankin (celebrity chef)

Celebrity chef Paul Rankin and his business partner wife Jeanne owed more than £1m to the taxman in 2009. They entered into an IVA paying back 52p in the pound.
