Judgements
If you do not respond to the County Court Claim form after they were issued, then the Court will issue a Judgement in Default.
This means that the court have not recieved a response to the claim form. This means they have not been able to take into account your circumstances when deciding upon repayments and as such have ruled in the creditors favour and set the payment at the amount they have requested. This could mean you have to pay the amount due immediatly or in the instalments the creditor has requested.
If you are not able to comply with the judgement, you can request for the amount to be varied using an N245 form. The courts charge a fee of £40 to process this application so it is always best to reply to the claim form promptly.
